Summer in full swing

Yesterday was Santa Ana Free Day at Discovery Science Center. Thanks to First American Corporation, Santa Ana residents who show a valid photo id can bring up to 4 people into the science center on the first Monday of every month. By our count, more than 1600 Santa Ana residents came through our doors yesterday to see our summer exhibitions Animal Grossology and Bob The Builder – Project: Build It. What a great opportunity for the residents of Santa Ana!

As I mentioned last time, we just started a new earthquake stage show called “What’s Shakin’?” It will show everyday at 1 p.m. at our SunStage. Also new this week is a visit from the Physics Factory. They will be here at Discovery Science Center this Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. showcasing their physics feats! It is a free event for our visitors, and we are really looking forward to seeing the bus – it is powered by vegetable oil, according to their website.

If you visit us this Friday and take photos of your experience, share them on our flickr page!
