Final Weekend for Animal Grossology and Bob The Builder – Project: Build It!

Summer has drawn to a close and we’ll soon be packing up our traveling exhibitions, Animal Grossology and Bob The Builder – Project: Build It. If you haven’t yet visited this summer, make sure to get here before Sunday, Sept. 7! Animal Grossology is a great exhibition that highlights the yucky things that animals do. Bob The Builder – Project: Build It is a great chance for young children to build fundamental skills like thinking abstractly, associating and socializing. The role play that develops in this exhibition builds the foundation for their vocabulary and creativity!

Coming up Sept. 15 – 18, Home School Week is a chance for home schoolers to visit Discovery Science Center for grade-specific learning activities for their children. The program supplements what gets taught in the home. For more information, visit our Web site.

Finally, our thoughts are with the Gulf Coast and the Atlantic Coast this week and in the weeks to come, as the remnants of Gustav pass and the next few storms get closer to land.
